Is payet world class ?

Suppose first off we need to define world class, if messi and ronaldo is tier 1, lewandoski,
Aguero tier 2 would you put Dimitri in that 3rd tier?
Or higher? And does that constitute world class?

Being 'world class' is largely press generated to speak about greatly in-form players. Class is permanent, if you're world class, even in dips of form, your whole career has been spectacular and you've always been the best at what you do. Therefore for me, only Messi and Ronaldo are 'world class'.
At the end of the day, who cares what the press, Deschamps or anyone else thinks about Dimitri Payet. As long as he keeps playing for us in the manner he has until this point, he's the alpha and the omega.

Deschamps is entitled to set his team out how he likes but you'd think you'd find a spot somewhere in a 23 man squad.
To be honest I will be happy if he doesn't play in Euro2016, no good would come from that from our point of view.

"World class"? It's just media bollocks terminology. Tiers of so-called "world class"?? You have to be joking?
Players do different jobs for different teams. At different times. Under different managers.
Messi and Ronaldo are clearly supremely talented. Albeit in a pretty uncompetitive league. Payet is a very good player in a tougher league. This year. So far.
Don't start me on "stats" for "assists"....
